Follow-up to "... and Justice for All (Mexican Drug Smugglers)"
I don’t know what it is. Maybe I am just bitter at America. This business of those two border patrol agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campean should come as no surprise to anyone, but yet, here we are. Our fearless leader, Skeletal Grace, is still new to the good ol’ US of A, and still believes in such civilized things as democracy, freedom, and safety from our enemies. Well, I have lived in this country all my life, and have been following politics for over half that time, and I can honestly say that I harbor none of those delusions.
Granted, Grace may be better educated than I - most are, but I am going to explain why this incident, hereafter referred to as “The Incident” for the sake of the article, needs to be looked at in a different light. (NOTE: If you don’t know what I am talking about, read THIS, then come back).
America is run by a bunch of faggot-assed limp-wristed, white collar fucks that care only about the almighty dollar. No amount of elections, politicking or grass root organizing is going to change this. The media is in the pocket of the government. Yeah, yeah… “freedom of press” and all that jazz. But that term applies more to what this DRS website is all about, or maybe some rag like American Free Press, than it ever does to the New York Times or even USA Today.
The reason The Incident is not getting much time on the TV, or in the news papers, is because it would make someone look bad somehwere. No, the press does not care about George Bush, per se, but really, in the grand scheme of things, he does not run the country anyway. And W. has nothing to do with this inident, really.
Let’s look at the subject at hand for a second: Two Hispanic border agents shot another Hispanic man trying to smuggle drugs. Like Grace said; doing their jobs. Now let’s look at the media perspective. No real controversy here. There was obviously no racial motives for the shooting, and the agents are in trouble for not following protocol… why should the media care?
Why, indeed.
By nailing these two guys to the wall the US Attorney Office shows other agents that deviation from procedure will not be tolerated. It sends the message to our national slave market... er... sorry, the Hispanic Voting Block that we will not tolerate some trigger happy John Wayne types at the borders, and it also drives the idea into other agents’ heads to NOT do what the public wants them to do, namely STOP IMMIGRATION AND DRUG SMUGGLING!!!
They always say immigrants are the backbone of the American economy - that immigrants will do the jobs that others wont. Well, those people are fucking wrong. “But, Carman… do you want to pay $20 for grapes?” I have no idea where they get that idea from, but that argument always floats to the surface like an old turd. Let me get it straight; is that argument saying that it is still a crime to hire illegal immigrants, to sneak into the country and steal jobs, but it shouldn’t be that harsh because it makes produce and construction costs cheaper? So by that argument, it should be OK to kill gang bangers in my neighborhood, too, because it would bring the property value of Casa de Carman up on the market, by making the streets safer.
A crime is a crime.... See how this is working yet? People only get prosecuted if some big wig somewhere is not getting money or power.
Back to The Incident… Campeon and Ramos shot the criminal, but failed to follow protocol. The Mexican has family here in the States. A family member probably threatened to raise hell with the slave... er... Hispanic voter ranks if something did not happen to those two “rogue cops”. It trickles up to Homeland Security, and Voila; problem solved. The slaves... er... voters are happy and can go back to making strawberries and new town homes cheaper for people who can afford to buy it in the first place. two border patrol peasants are nothing to a politician. NOTHING, I SAY!
So Grace says to try and do something. And we should, but his solution is not the answer. It may make you feel good, it may make you feel right and just. It will give you a feeling that we, the people, still hold some sort of power, and that NOTHING will waiver true justice. This idea is noble. Cute, almost. But wrong. The only thing that will ever show us, the people, that we hold true power, is nothing short of an armed revolt by the masses. But we, the masses, are stupid American Pig-dogs. Most cant think past Tuesday of next week, let alone long enough to organize.
Most revolutions happen on the inside of the Great Big Machine anyway, but the American Machine is very strong. The people who took over the controls are the flower children from the 60's and 70's, but now corrupted by money and power. They know from experience how to keep the American people quiet; keep things affordable, let them have their vices if they do not get caught (DRUGS), and keep things out of the press that can be harmful (Campean and Ramos).
Of course people will be upset if they hear what is going on, but really, most will ask, “What can just one of us do?” The easy answer is “not much”, aside from doing what Grace asked... that or armed revolution. I would do what he wants, but as you can clearly see, if I faxed the White House, I would have S.S. Goons crawling all over my shit, and I ain’t down with that. That’s where we are – afraid of our own government. And If I took to the streets with a Romanian S.K.S. named Alina, and 1,000 rounds, yelling about revolution… how long do you think it would take before I was shot down in the street?
Besides, if a bunch of people started an armed revolution, it would have the same outcome.
“But Carman, our government would NEVER shoot its own people!” Yeah, OK… Look up “Kent State”, and guess what happened? NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENED! AMERICANS DON’T FUCKING CARE! My God, it pisses me the fuck off how Pig-dogs can be so complacent and only write songs of protest about our own government killing its own citizens. Too late now; the Great Big Machine knows what it can do if we, the people, get out of line again.
When this Incident eventually gets covered more in the press, and it will, it will be force fed down our throats that John Wayne and Jeffrey Hunter were out on the border, treating a poor Mexican man like he was Comanche. This is how it works. Shit like this gets into the main stream after the fact, when it is all said and done. When it has been decided by one and all in the corridors of power what “really” happened. Hopefully, something real will happen before then. I am an advocate of armed revolution. I want the world to devolve into a state of tribal anarchy where only the strong survive. You could say I am just a cynical dreamer (but I’m not the only one, to quote that fag Lennon, whose polar opposite I am). The realistic suggestion would be, of course, to do what Skeletal Grace wants of all of us: Write the lawyer, the judge, yourcongressman, the President of The USA, or anyone else of any importance, and alert them of this travesty of justice.
Campean and Ramos. Two Americans who were basically just doing their jobs, and pissed someone off by doing it. Two Americans that are now facing 20 years in prison for shooting a drug smuggler. Two fucking Americans whose government turned on them for the sake of the almighty dollar and the slave vote Two fucking Americans whose story was not covered by the talking heads (except Lou Dobbs, but who the fuck watches Lou Dobbs besides grandpa anyway?)
So the next time you think that the American Government would not turn on its own people, think of these two men, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campean.
Old Lady Justice is not blind, she just sees what is convenient to the right people.
